When using the app, you have the option of transmitting health and movement data (namely steps, distance, climbing stairs, activity energy, training, gender, height, weight) in our app, which are stored on your mobile device. You can undo this step by turning off the respective approvals in the „Apple Health” app on your mobile device. When you create an account with us, this information will be broadcast to one of our servers and made visible for a defined group of users according to your specifications.
We will delete your account upon message to that effect. For this purpose, please use the email address email@example.com. After receiving your message with that effect, we will delete your account as a whole and remove all data stored on our server. You can delete the data on your mobile device by deleting the app itself.
If you decide to sign in with us using your Facebook account, we will receive your public profile information from Facebook such as username, your Facebook ID, gender and profile photo and beyond this your e-mail address. You can have information displayed as to which Facebook friends are already registered with Stepz, and you will be visible to your Facebook friends. By signing in via Facebook, your Stepz account will be permanently linked to your Facebook account. For further information on the use of data by Facebook, click here. Please note that your Facebook password does not come into our possession even after signing in with your Facebook account.
We also collect information that you do not actively provide us with. We store data in an anonymous form that include the behaviour of users when using our app. These include operating life, device and functions used. These analyses are available to us in anonymous form without reference to a specific user and only serve statistical purposes.
In the app, advertising will appear in various parts. For this purpose, we use the services of AdMob by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA and the Facebook Audience Network. An identification number (Identifier for Advertisers / IDFA) is stored on your mobile device to enable advertising messages tailored to your individual interests. When using the app, this number along with your IP address is transmitted to our advertising partners. These may be servers inside or outside the EU, especially in the US as well. If you do not wish to transfer your IDFA, you can turn this feature off by activating the switch “No Ad Tracking” under “Advertising” in the privacy settings on your mobile device. You can also be assigned a new IDFA by using the “Ad-ID Reset”.
A transfer of your data beyond the cases mentioned above will not take place. Also, we will not use your data for advertising purposes or let them be used by third parties.
Our app can only be purchased through the Apple App Store or via iTunes. Note that data will be collected and processed by the provider. After buying the Pro version of our app, data will also be transferred to your bank, credit institution, or credit card provider. We will not receive this data.
