Cinque Terre, Sentiero Azzuro (Blue Path), Italy
Experience Level: Easy/ Moderate (some sections are easier than others)
Distance: 12 km (7.5 mi)
What It Has To Offer: Walk these winding paths alongside crystal blue waters (which is where this trail gets its name from), catch a peek at the dolphins and whales that swim here and stop off to explore the many small villages along the way. This walk offers beauty, history, romance and lots of fine wine and food!
Inca Trail, Peru
Distance: 33 km (20 mi)
What It Has To Offer: South America’s most famous trail takes you up through mountains draped in lush green forests and often submerged in mist, as it winds it’s way from Peru’s Sacred Valley up to Machu Picchu. Stopping to experience all the magnificent ruins of a city that’s very existence incites wonder and awe.
Waitukubuli National Park, Dominica
Distance: 185 km (115 mi)
What It Has To Offer: Experience the exotic terrain of the Caribbeans as you pass through lush forest, past dramatic waterfalls, a boiling lake (that’s right, it actually bubbles!), banana plantations and out towards the stunning coastline this part of the world is famous for.
Kungsleden (King’s Trail), Sweden
Distance: 450 km (279.5 mi)
What It Has To Offer: This long trek winds it’s way through the ever changing landscape of Sweden, with its picturesque mountains, sweeping valleys, vast forests and many lakes. With many mountain cabins situated at various places along the trail, you can relax your feet and unwind in a sauna, before restocking your food supplies so that you never need to carry more than two days worth of food in your pack.
Paine Circuit Trek, Torres del Paine, Chile
Distance: 83.5 km (52 mi)
What It Has To Offer: This challenging circuit trek takes you through some of the most stunning scenery our earth has to offer. With blue glaciers, crystal lakes, exotic wildlife and exquisite rock formations such as the Torres del Paine Tower, this trek is an experience of a lifetime.
Everest Base Camp Trek, khumbu, Nepal
Distance: 62 km (38.5 mi)
What It Has To Offer: Famous for it’s spectacular mountain peaks, this trek will take you through some stunning Nepalese landscape as you move from Lukla to the base camp of the tallest mountain on Earth. Along the way you can stop off at some of the many resting spots, chat with the locals and take in some of the serene views this walk is famed for.
The Narrows, Zion National Park, United States
Distance: 26 km (16 mi)
What It Has To Offer: Listed amongst the world’s most famed walks, this trek will take you amongst the stunning sandstone walls of canyons that have been slowly carved out by the Virgin River. This trek is raved about by most who walk it, however be prepared to walk and wade through water in some sections!
